Commissioner Leigh Anne Young read the Proposed Budget Summary Letter during the public hearing and commissioners discussed line items; no additional questions were raised. The adoption motion was made by Commissioner Brandon Core and seconded by Commissioner Leigh Anne Young; the motion carried unanimously. The Board also approved the March financials (First Bank Business Essential: $203,569.26; First Bank Money Market: $318,584.56) and deferred approval of April financials to the June 4 meeting.
The formal adoption concludes the town’s public review period for the fiscal year budget; the record shows no oral public testimony and no written comments were received by the May 7, 5:00 p.m. deadline. The Board scheduled routine follow-up including the June meeting for additional financial approvals and an auditor meeting later in May.
