On Feb. 25, the Amelia County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to convene a closed session under Virginia Code §2.2‑3711(A)(8) to consult with the county attorney regarding specific legal matters. The board entered closed session at 8:15 p.m. and returned to open session at 8:54 p.m.
After reconvening, supervisors H. Joseph Easter, Todd Robinson, Dexter Jones, Benjamin Morris and David M. Felts each certified by roll call that the closed‑session discussion was within the permitted scope of the statute. The meeting then adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
