Consultant reports Richardson Road Industrial Park has Tier 3 certification, multiple studies complete

Samuel Carroll, of B&B Consultants, updated the board on the status of the Richardson Road Industrial Park, saying the site has achieved Tier 3 site certification and listing completed preparatory work. Carroll told supervisors the project has completed a topographic survey, wetland delineation, geotechnical work, an unmarked grave study, master planning, an infrastructure preliminary engineering report (PER) and site characterization.
Robert Smith, chairman of the Amelia County Economic Development Authority, was listed among attendees for the update; the presentation was framed as an informational status report rather than a request for immediate action. Board members did not take a formal vote on the item during the work session.
