The sheriff's office told the board it can reallocate equipment budget lines to cover its share; staff proposed the county receive and pay a single invoice for administrative simplicity. A motion to appropriate $16,200 to cover the coming year’s anticipated cases carried by voice vote. County staff said the appropriation will allow the three local agencies to continue using the Chesterfield CAC’s services rather than sending children to Lynchburg or Richmond for interviews.
