Council grants full liquor license and temporary 2 a.m. trial to 7 House Bar and Grill

The Long Prairie City Council unanimously approved a full liquor license application for the new 7 House Bar and Grill at the former Red Lounge site. The approval includes Sunday sales of liquor, a cigarette license, a general corporation license for a pool table and a one-year trial allowing the establishment to remain open until 2 a.m.
Mayor Jim Kreemer noted the background check returned no issues. Council members discussed insurance and the fire department's role for the planned July fireworks event; the mayor also noted that, if the new owners complete a purchase, the city will have one remaining liquor license available.
