Regarding spills, Brummer said one small spill (about 5 gallons) occurred in a backyard easement due to root and rag buildup and was fully contained and cleaned. Three other category‑1 spills were tied to the Riviera Circle flooding; crews staged overnight, ran vac trucks and a 6‑inch bypass pump, and completed about 49 full vac loads to manage flows and protect homes. Brummer emphasized that staff kept total volumes below the 50,000‑gallon threshold that triggers broader public sampling and notification and commended field crews for their response.
