Lammersville hires Lonnie Walker as Mountain House High School head football coach

Superintendent Dr. Nicholas told the board that a comprehensive search had concluded and introduced Mountain House High School's new head football coach, Lonnie Walker, at the March 11 meeting. Walker described his background at Grambling State University and his coaching influences, and said he intends to establish a parent advisory council to build transparency around the program.

Walker said he wanted to build tradition and community connections: "It's a privilege and an honor to be the 3rd head coach in Mountain House history," he said, adding that he plans to create a parent advisory council so "we have transparency on what we're doing for our athletes." Trustees congratulated Walker and welcomed him to the district; no board questions were raised that altered the hiring announcement.
