Lammersville students showcase GATE projects, invite public to TED Ed student talks

Student hosts said the GATE showcase will begin at 5:15 p.m. followed by TEDx-style student talks at 6:15 p.m. "We would be honored to have you join us at the GATE TED Ed student showcase and see the impact of your support in our students' voices," said Shamik Raj, lead host for the TED Ed program.
The presentations included reports from ASB leaders about movie nights, leadership-focused field trips, dress-up days, a homecoming parade float, peer-mentoring programs called Kinder Buddies, and other student activities designed to build leadership and community. Board members praised the students: "Great job," several trustees said after the presentations. Administrators said the events are intended to highlight student research, public speaking and community engagement, and paper invitations were distributed to board members during the meeting. The district encouraged families and community members to attend the March 26 event to see student work and public talks.
