The Harvey County Commission voted April 29 to purchase a new 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe for the Health Department from Davis‑Moore for $65,895, pending staff review that the vehicle meets specifications.
Health Department Director Lynnette Redington presented two bids for a new 2024 or 2025 Tahoe and discussed whether an in‑county vehicle transfer could be used instead; staff determined a transfer was not feasible in this instance. Commissioner Becky Reimer moved to accept the Davis‑Moore bid of $65,895 and direct staff to complete specification compliance review. Commissioner Terry Scott seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The purchase will be processed under county procurement rules and coordinated with county fleet and finance staff for delivery and assignment to the Health Department.
