Rex Yohn, the county’s Noxious Weed Director, said the county solicited multiple vendors and received three responsive bids before the deadline. The bids covered two herbicide chemicals in multiple container sizes; Nutrien submitted the lowest total. Commissioner Becky Reimer moved to accept the bids and award items 1 and 2 to Nutrien Solutions for a combined total of $17,256.60. Commissioner Terry Scott seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board’s action authorizes the Noxious Weed department to proceed with purchase under the county’s bid terms. The county packet notes standard bid conditions including the county’s right to select the bid that best meets its needs and to waive irregularities.
The award was made during the consent of routine departmental procurement items and will be administered by the Noxious Weed Director and county purchasing staff.
