Owner representatives of Amelia's Pantry presented plans to convert an existing full-service restaurant into a limited-service bakery/cafe with a small retail component and outdoor seating. The board accepted the site-plan and sign applications and voted to schedule a public hearing for the August 24 meeting, but asked staff for a formal parking calculation and clarification of occupancy and ADA access.
The applicant said the operation will be mostly grab-and-go with some seating, noting "We're open 7 to 5." The board raised concerns about the pea-gravel patio surface, drainage from the hill behind the building and the need for clearly designated accessible parking and a smooth walkway. Staff (Sean) was asked to provide a parking-count recommendation and the applicant agreed to coordinate on signage and emergency-access numbering.
