The Marbletown Planning Board accepted a special-use permit application from the Acorn School and scheduled a public hearing for the board's next meeting on August 24. The applicant said the school would operate Monday through Friday with a typical day starting about 8:30 a.m., ending at 3 p.m., and an aftercare program that runs to 5 p.m.
Board members asked for clarifications on enrollment and schedules; the applicant said classes will run in two groups of about 12 to 18 students and families may enroll for four or five days per week. The board moved to accept the application and to schedule a public hearing on August 24 for final input.
