A resident said the development ‘‘pays more than $1,000,000 a year in taxes’’ but receives limited nearby services and expressed fear for older residents crossing the road.
The design team confirmed a mid‑block RRFB crossing is proposed on Bradley Road and said the push‑button beacons will light and flash to compel drivers to stop for pedestrians. Officials also said they have discussed raised crossings and speed tables as additional options but noted drainage and maintenance constraints that must be addressed.
Town staff and consultants offered to follow up with the community, discuss relocated mailboxes or other mitigations, and promised to post crosswalk plans and alternatives online for further comment.
