Wally Zastrow, a representative of Long Prairie Township, asked the council for additional information and the data used to create a proposed township fire contract; he said the topic will be discussed with all township representatives at a formal meeting on April 2. The council recorded his request for more information but did not take action on the contract at this meeting.
Luan Thomas-Brunkhorst described a transition of duties from the Chamber of Commerce to the Tourism Committee for the Welcome Guide, Concerts in the Park and other tourism activities and formally passed the role to Chris Amundson. Separately, Public Works employee Chris Haasser reported he and his wife purchased the old Thunder Lodge, which they plan to rename Charolette Tavern, and asked if any city actions were required; staff noted the property is in the county so no city approvals appear necessary.
