Randolph County commission elects David Kesling as president for 2025

The Randolph County Commission on Dec. 19 unanimously elected Commissioner David Kesling as county commission president for 2025. Commissioner Chris Siler moved the election; the motion passed with all three commissioners voting yes.
Commissioners praised Kesling for taking the lead on courthouse remodeling and other county matters. Commissioner See said he agreed that Kesling "has done a great job," and the commission noted several upcoming decisions that will require collective leadership next year. The commission set its next regular meeting for Jan. 2, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at the Wees Annex.
The election was a formal, recorded motion and vote; no objections were raised during the session. The commission also approved multiple administrative and operational items during the meeting, including board appointments, funding allocations and budget revisions.
