Council awards $373,520 concrete contract for Sussex and Willow; approves $15,000 inspection contract

Council also approved requisition 26-SERVICE-00120 to Chagrin Valley Engineering for engineering inspection services for the concrete program in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00 (poll: 7 ayes). Service Director Joe Borczuch said the work could begin shortly after the Fourth of July and be completed within roughly 20 days, requiring coordination with residents during construction.
The motion included discussion that adding Willow to this year’s program increased the cost but allowed completion of the neighborhood at once; staff noted prices could be higher in a subsequent year.
