The Rolling Hills City Council held a public hearing and adopted Resolution No. 1419 to authorize placement of the city’s annual sanitation charge on the Los Angeles County tax roll for fiscal year 2026–27.
“For fiscal year 26 27, the annual sanitation charge will increase from $15.00 $3.72 per parcel to $15.77 40,” a staff presentation stated during the hearing; staff also described this as a roughly 4.9% cost-of-living increase incorporated into the contract. Council opened the public hearing, allowed one resident to request clarification, and staff repeated the from/to amounts for the record.
After a brief period for public comment, with no speakers opposing the proposal, a council member moved to place the new billing rate on the county tax roll and to adopt Resolution No. 1419. The council approved the motion by voice vote with no opposition recorded. Staff said the action will allow the Auditor-Controller to include the sanitation charge on the annual tax roll.
