City reports full slates filed for three council seats and the mayor's office

The presiding official told the council that filing has closed for municipal offices this year and that at least one candidate has filed for each of the three council seats and the mayor's position. "Filing for all the open seats, we have 3 council seats and the mayor's position that are up this year and someone has filed for every 1 of those and 2 have filed for position 3," the presiding official said.
Councilor Williams, who joined the meeting late, noted that Norm Lisonbee will be taking his seat because no one filed against him. The filings were presented as a routine update; the council did not take action on the filings during the meeting.
