Supervisor Hoech updated the council on a local sports-court project, saying work is scheduled to begin on the 27th of the month and should take about a week. "The chain car sports court payments project is gonna start up the 27th," she said, describing a short construction window and a goal to complete the work quickly.
Hoech said the grant that funds the work requires the courts be returned to tennis-court configuration, but organizers can purchase temporary pickleball equipment and markings so the surface can be used for pickleball in the near term. She said school teams or community groups could use the courts once construction finishes.
