The Woodbury County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved two interfund operating transfers intended to reduce the county’s property-tax levy.
Board administration staff said the first transfer moves $29,915 from the county’s pilot fund into the general supplemental fund to support tax reduction. Ryan Erickson explained the transfers were verified as fiscal‑2026 items. “So that’s what the first one is — the pilot fund of $29,915 to be moved to general supplemental for tax reduction,” Erickson said. The board voted 5–0 to approve the transfer.
A second transfer of $200,000 from the courthouse maintenance fund into the general supplemental fund was presented as an additional tax‑reduction measure. Erickson described the transfer as part of last week’s work to finalize fiscal‑2026 operating transfers. The board voted unanimously to approve the $200,000 transfer as well.
The approvals were taken by single motions during the meeting’s administrative items; no members requested separate votes on the transfers. The transfers will be recorded in the county’s fiscal‑2026 budget documents and implemented by county finance staff.
