Committee updates: digester cover out to bid; SSO and flow monitoring ongoing

The Committee received an update on wastewater work April 14. Glenn Davis said notices for the Digester Cover project have been issued and bids are expected with a bid opening on April 30; he noted that although the scope may sound straightforward structurally it carries a budget north of $2,000,000.
Davis also updated the Committee on McEntee flow monitoring — staff are measuring how storm events change sewer flows to identify contributions of stormwater inflow — and listed multiple SSO projects (Direct Inflow areas #2,3,5,7,10) where lining and dye testing are planned. He said the projects aim to meet EPA expectations and reduce basement flooding risk where data indicate problems.
