Planning Director Jeff Kaiser said the public hearing on the Shadow Creek Planned Unit Development has concluded and council action on the ordinance is expected at the next full Council meeting. If the ordinance is approved, Kaiser said the applicant will submit civil site plans to the Engineering Department and begin phased infrastructure work and home construction over an estimated three-to-five year period.
Kaiser noted that the first new homes were unlikely until off-site infrastructure and internal utilities were approved and installed. “I did not think they were going to see one new home until they got the infrastructure approved and started getting that in place,” Kaiser said. The committee did not raise questions during the briefing. The committee will monitor the ordinance when it appears on the Council agenda.
