Board members asked about device lifespans, the impact of leaving devices on campus (not checking them out), and price differences with Dell; Deese said cases were included in the CDW quote and that last year the district lost about 240 devices to damage or nonreturn. Craig Mute moved to accept the administration's recommendation; Jason Saboda seconded and the board approved the purchase by show of hands, 7–0.
What happens next: the district will take delivery over the summer and complete deployment in the fall as part of its scheduled refresh.
