Finance staff: Floresville ISD earned a perfect 100 on Texas FIRST rating for 2023-24

During a required public hearing, finance staff explained the FIRST methodology and said the district received full points across the 21 indicators used in the 2023-24 FIRST rating (based on fiscal year 2022-23 data). "If you look at the indicators 1 through 21 ... we received a perfect score. So this is the 2nd year in a row we received a perfect, 100," the presenter said.
The presenter (Miss Engle) walked trustees through the critical indicators (timely AFR submission, unmodified auditor opinion, timely payments on debt and to government entities) and the district's scores on liquidity, administrative-cost ratios and other formulas. She noted the public posting requirements (superintendent contract, reimbursements, gifts and business-transaction summaries) and said those documents are available on the district website under Finance.
