Floresville ISD reports early gains in attendance and behavior in formative improvement review

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Wade presented a formative review of the district improvement plan showing incremental progress on four district goals. "Student attendance has increased to 94.67 from 92.57," Dr. Wade said, and he reported discipline referrals down to 508 from 675 at the same point last year; maintenance work orders were also cited as 99.6% complete for the first quarter.
The presentation covered academic screening and unit-assessment snapshots, teacher support programs including a revamped new-teacher academy and targeted math and reading coaching, and early-college partnerships with Coastal Bend and Palo Alto/Saint Philip's colleges for the coming year. Dr. Wade said the district will provide another formative update in January and a summative review in July.
