The Louisa Town Council appointed Anthony Lares to serve as the interim zoning administrator until a full-time town manager is hired. The motion was made and seconded during new-business discussion; the appointment passed by unanimous roll-call vote.
"I move that we appoint mister Anthony Lares as interim zoning administrator until we have a fully hired full time town manager," a council member said when making the motion, which was seconded and approved. Council noted that the town code currently ties the zoning administrator role to the town manager and that a future code amendment may be necessary to make the change permanent.
