Councilors reviewed upcoming calendar items and outreach priorities. Staff announced a business meeting Feb. 10 that will include Smart to discuss the future of transit and reported the council's letter to TriMet had prompted staff interest from TriMet. The council also set a retreat for Feb. 27 to devote time to financial strategy and community engagement priorities.
The city manager asked council members whether they were interested in a lobby day during the legislative session; council members nodded and staff said they will coordinate with the city's lobbyist. Staff also confirmed the council wanted a community survey on the marijuana dispensary topic and will circulate materials and opportunities for public input ahead of further council discussion.
