Vernon County treasurer reports $30.8M cash, $1.125M delinquent property taxes

Treasurer Karen DeLap presented the county’s financial snapshot to the Vernon County Finance Committee on July 15, reporting total cash on hand of $30,818,515.09 as of June 30, 2025. She also reported May receipts of $3,968,247.85 and total delinquent property taxes of $1,125,333.50 as of the same date.
The presentation included a year-to-date summary of revenues and expenditures. Finance Director Anne Lockyer told the committee the 2024 audit is complete and will be presented at the August meeting, signaling that staff expect to move from audit review to budget wrap-up ahead of the next fiscal cycle.
