Finance staff presented the county’s April financial snapshot: total bank balance $26,564,404.39 and solid-waste cash of $4,011,063.45. Staff also reported daily receipts and tax collections, noting delinquent balances of approximately $1,237,020.49 and current-tax balances near $11,000,019.95. Committee members discussed tax-certificate counts (779 parcels generated) and outstanding accounts and asked staff to continue refining the presentation.
Staff said nursing-home actuals were unaudited but improving after operational changes and that solid waste and recycling are running roughly $100,000 under target so far. The interim finance director said the office will shift to bank-statement-based reporting and work to include nursing-home revenues and shorten reporting lags going forward.
