Council appoints Gary English to ferry advisory committee; he warns Fauntleroy terminal rebuild will be disruptive

On the project timeline and impacts, English described the planning progress and staged work, saying, "I think that the projection of the actual opening of a new terminal, and this is fixed in quicksand, is 2031." He cautioned that the required lay-down areas and the proposed 3-foot raise of the terminal will make construction complex and could require changes to ferry operations during work. The council welcomed a follow-up briefing and carried the appointment by voice/show-of-hands with no recorded opposition.
