After discussion about open-meeting rules and ad hoc membership limits, the commission approved a motion to form an ad hoc committee (Sherry Green and another commissioner) to prepare survey questions, check with the city clerk on meeting rules, and return with draft questions at the December meeting.
The committee will also investigate distribution logistics — whether the city will post a notice and link on the official Blue Lake page, whether a QR-code insert on water bills is possible, and whether the post office bulletin can include a survey link. Commissioners said they would seek city staff guidance on whether the commission or the city should post or host the survey.
