AUSD board approves administrative assignments, conflict-of-interest bylaw changes and related resolutions

The Auburn Union School District Board of Trustees approved a slate of administrative and policy items on the consent and action agendas. The board approved annual administrative assignments naming Christie Aday at Sky Ridge, Catherine Puckett at Auburnell and Christine Mayberry at ABK, then adopted an updated conflict-of-interest bylaw (Bylaw 92-70) after a second reading.
Dr. Meyer read the new paragraph added to Bylaw 92-70, noting it "has the force and effect of law" and cites the Political Reform Act and specific Government Code provisions related to disqualification and potential voiding of decisions. The board then adopted a related resolution (24-25-102) updating language to align with the bylaw. Jeremy McReynolds then presented resolution 24-25-103 to appoint the districtrepresentative to the Schools Insurance Group Joint Powers Board; McReynolds said he would serve as representative with Bridal Meyer as alternate. The board also approved an update to the June 2024 budget packet required for county submission.
