Board approves FY 2627 levy rates after state rule change lowers printed EMS rate

"So it's the same dollar amount as what was approved, but the levy rate reduced, I think, to 42¢ instead of the 45¢," a committee member explained during the discussion. Members asked follow-up questions about how taxing districts could vary and staff confirmed some taxing districts saw decreases while others increased. After discussion, the board moved and approved the levy rates by voice vote.
