Jackson County’s Board of Supervisors on June 16 approved a Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) funding agreement that will fund the remaining portion of a right‑turn lane on 395th Avenue and designated the county as lead agency for the combined project with prior TSIP and USEP grants.
Public works staff described tradeoffs between full‑depth reclamation (mill and stabilize the subgrade, then repave) and concrete reconstruction, noting both approaches will be disruptive to traffic but that concrete may allow phasing and shorter lane‑closure durations. The board approved the STBG agreement and authorized the chair and auditor to sign the contract. The amount was read aloud in two ways during the meeting (the transcript records both $113,008 and $113,807); the board record authorized a maximum payment figure that staff will confirm in the final executed contract.
The board voted to approve the agreement by voice vote after a motion and second.
