Resident urges Juno Beach council to meet finalists in person

During public comment at the July 29 meeting, Zoom participant Anne Keelman urged council members to stick to the agreed-upon recruitment process and to meet finalists in person. "It will be a worthwhile process to meet all the finalists in person," Keelman said, adding that reference checks and in-person meetings often reveal useful information.
The clerk told the council the town also received comments through a web form and that those submissions would be added to the meeting record. Keelman said she had not served on the ad hoc citizen review panel but remained interested in the process and asked council to do deeper research on candidates before interviews.
Keelman's remarks were made after a motion to nominate the interim manager conditionally was made on the floor; council members recorded the public comment in the official record.
