The Long Prairie City Council authorized plans and specifications and approved advertising for bids for a 2025 multi-bay hangar project at the Long Prairie Municipal Airport. Council members described the anticipated funding split as 95% federal (FAA), 2.5% state and 2.5% local, with the local share to be split between the city and county.
In the same portion of the agenda, the council accepted a grant from the Minnesota Department of Transportation to purchase a Landpride 14' All Flex Mower for public-works use. Both items were approved unanimously. The council directed staff to proceed with bidding and to document grant acceptance and related procurement procedures.
