Long Prairie approves MnDOT agreement, cost-share for Highway 287 crosswalk flashers

Council approved Resolution No. 25-02-12-07 authorizing the mayor and city administrator to execute MnDOT Agreement No. 1057683. The council also approved a 50/50 cost-share agreement with the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School District for four crosswalk flashers to be installed this summer; an estimated local cost for the flashing system was stated as $63,150. Related items approved included acceptance of a grant for a Landpride 14' All Flex Mower and authorization to advertise bids for the 2025 multi-bay hangar project at the Long Prairie Municipal Airport (funding split described as 95% FAA, 2.5% state, 2.5% local).
The MnDOT resolution and the cost-share motion were approved unanimously. Council asked staff to execute the agreement and coordinate with MnDOT and the school district on schedule and maintenance responsibilities.
