Harvey County renews $38,300 appraisal consulting contract with McCully & Associates

Pam Thomas, Harvey County appraiser, presented a one-year consulting agreement with McCully & Associates covering appraisal consultation and support for the county's Orion valuation system. "The fee for the services in this renewal agreement has remained at $38,300; the costs are included in the departmental budget," Thomas said. The agreement covers services including depreciation studies, neighborhood analysis and land-valuation modeling for the 2026 valuation year.

Commissioner Terry Scott moved to approve the agreement and to direct staff to research alternate vendors prior to the next renewal; Becky Reimer seconded the motion and the commission voted unanimously to approve the contract. The agreement states the county will provide access to Orion files and staff support and that McCully & Associates will supply monthly progress reports and final documentation to satisfy Division of Property Valuation requirements. Payment of $38,300 is included in the Appraiser's departmental budget for the coming year.

Commissioners asked staff to identify alternative vendors or options before the contract's expiration and to return with findings prior to any new commitment. The contract term as presented runs through June 30, 2026.
