Felts re-elected chair; Robinson re-elected vice-chair of Amelia County Board
Summary
At its Jan. 28 meeting the Amelia County Board of Supervisors re-elected David M. Felts as chairman by a 4-1 vote and re-elected Todd Robinson as vice-chair on a 4-0-1 vote; the board also approved meeting dates and bylaws.
Chairman David M. Felts was re-elected to lead the Amelia County Board of Supervisors on Jan. 28, 2026, after County Administrator Eric S. Pollitt opened nominations. Supervisor Dexter Jones nominated Felts; with no other nominations the board approved the nomination on a 4-1 vote, with Supervisor H. Joseph Easter IV voting against.
Supervisor Jones then nominated Supervisor Todd Robinson to continue as vice-chair; that nomination passed on a 4-0-1 vote with Robinson abstaining. The board also approved a resolution setting meeting dates and times for 2026 and voted unanimously to adopt the Board By-laws and Rules, motions moved by Supervisor Benjamin Morris.
The organizational votes set the board’s leadership and procedural calendar for the year and were handled at the start of the regular meeting. County Administrator Eric S. Pollitt presided over the nomination process until the chair was confirmed.
