The Amelia County Board approved an appropriation of $19,924 in state grant funds to the school division to support computer science course expansion at Amelia County High School.
School staff said the funds were received by the county treasurer on Dec. 12, 2025, must be encumbered by June 30, 2025, and require no local match. Board member East moved to approve the appropriation as presented and the chair called for hands; the motion carried.
Board members had no further discussion on the item. Staff will effect the appropriation so the school division can encumber the grant funds for the stated purpose.
