The team reported 127 survey responses with 75% from Sacramento residents and named plastics, cigarette butts and aluminum cans among the most common items observed. Their recommendations included PSAs, a redesigned 311 reporting flow and periodic community cleanups led by youth.
Councilmembers reacted positively, asked for links to the students’ video and offered to coordinate a youth‑led cleanup in District 1. No formal council action or vote occurred on the proposals during the meeting.
