District says boilers installed; controls to be connected after valve delivery, operational post-Thanksgiving

District facilities staff told the board that the boiler replacement project is nearing completion and that work on referendum projects continues through punch-list and closeout activity.
"The boilers and the piping is are installed. The contractor is awaiting some valves to be delivered. They're expected at the end of the week. They should be installed, and then our control vendor will come in and connect all these things up. So, we will be operational probably, right after Thanksgiving," a facilities update said. Staff also reported ongoing efforts to close out referendum projects at several sites and to address identified items found during due diligence.
Board members asked whether warranty periods would be affected by the delays; facilities staff said warranties would begin upon formal acceptance and that previously passed warranty periods are not expected to be affected. Members also asked about unresolved alarm issues tied to HVAC operation; staff said the manufacturer remains involved but has been reluctant to provide some requested information.
