Board recognizes classified and administrators’ bargaining groups, approves representatives

The Scottsbluff Public Schools board approved recognition of two bargaining units and their representatives during its Sept. 8 meeting.
Board action recognized the Scottsbluff Schools Classified Association (SSCA) bargaining unit and approved Maria Free as the SSCA’s main bargainer for the 2026–2028 period. The board also recognized the administrators’ negotiating unit and approved representatives Justin Shattuck, Jana Mason and Lucas Benzel to serve as the negotiators for the 2026–2028 negotiations. Motions for both recognitions were moved and seconded and were approved by roll-call assent.
