Board approves 3¢ QCPUF levy to fund stadium, auditorium, ADA and fire-suppression projects

The Scottsbluff Public Schools board voted to approve a QCPUF resolution authorizing the district to levy the 3¢ Qualified Capital Purpose Undertaking Fund amount and to allocate the proceeds to a listed set of capital projects.
Mary Anne explained the resolution lists projects totaling the amount the district expects to collect (projected up to $629,000) and clarified that the eligible QCPUF-allowable amounts for previously board-approved projects exceed earlier estimates, so the resolution asks the board to collect additional levy dollars to fund the newly-eligible project costs. “Those 3 projects include Bearcast Stadium, ADA accessibility, the Auditorium renovation, and then the Westmore Fire Suppression,” Mary Anne said. Board members approved the resolution by roll-call assent.
