The Southbridge City Council voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 25-11, adopting the 2024 municipal wastewater planning program annual report.
S2 introduced the item and asked staff for comment. Council members asked whether the most recent public hearing reflected in the report dated to 2015; staff explained the sewer system management plan (SSMP) and related notices and said they would confirm whether an additional hearing was required. After brief Q&A, S7 (who identified themself as Mayor Adams) moved to approve the resolution and S2 seconded. Council members recorded “Aye” on the roll call and the resolution passed.
During discussion, staff characterized the annual report as a formula-driven requirement and noted that the capital facilities plan had been updated in 2017 and is in review; staff also offered to confirm compliance and public-notice timing for the SSMP. The council voted to adopt the annual reports, and staff will follow up on the hearing/notice question raised by S3.
