A staff member told the board the district has been working with Sheffield Lake on a transportation partnership that will allow the two districts to share drivers, buses and fuel while each district can benefit financially. "It'll be their drivers, their buses, their stations, but we will help manage their bus routes and use our fuel," the speaker told the board.
The speaker said the arrangement could include "a la carte" services such as providing mechanics to repair buses for the partner district at a higher rate. The request to consider personnel items (agenda items 9.01–9.03 and 10.01–10.04) came alongside the transportation explanation; the board was asked to consider approval of those personnel and contract items during the meeting.
