2019 bond program nearly complete; Frog Pond and Athy Creek projects near final closeout

Remo Douglas said Frog Pond Primary School is nearing true final completion after the district terminated the general contractor and engaged the project's surety to complete the work; the surety and the replacement contractor have helped finish the project and additional costs to taxpayers were described as "pretty nominal."
Douglas said Athy Creek faces similar finalization tasks — particularly in landscaping — and the district had engaged the surety and an experienced contractor to finish outstanding items. Staff said final contract closeout paperwork and landscape establishment are the primary remaining tasks and that the program aims to be in a closeout posture by October.
