The Tompkins County director of finance reported on November 2025 sales tax collections during the Jan. 6 legislature meeting. Total county sales tax receipts for November were $6,544,000, a 1.69% increase compared with November 2024. Year‑to‑date (Jan–Nov) collections were $75,467,000, up 3.93% from the same period in 2024.
Daryl Tuttle said the county share for November was $3,681,000 and the year‑to‑date county share was $42,450,000 (a 3.93% increase). He also noted municipal splits: municipalities (excluding Ithaca) collected $1,464,000 in November (a 0.9% decrease), while the city of Ithaca collected $1,398,000 (a 4.55% increase for November). Tuttle offered to provide a detailed breakdown for legislators who requested it.
