Union City approves easement, catch basin arrangement at 104 East High Street
Summary
Council authorized a retroactive easement with property owner Anthony Hickey for installation of a Borough catch basin at 104 East High Street; the property owner will install a ditch and pipe and the Borough will accept responsibility for two catch basins and about 60 feet of pipe.
Council reviewed PennDOT’s installation of a catch basin at 104 East High Street and agreed the Borough would install an adjacent catch basin. Solicitor Tim Wachter will draft an easement requiring the property owner to dig a ditch and install a connecting pipe; the property owner will be responsible for the ditch. The Borough will accept responsibility for the two catch basins and roughly 60 feet of pipe between them.
Council approved a retroactive easement motion (moved by Councilor Osborn, seconded by Councilor Kerns) to formalize the arrangement with property owner Anthony Hickey; the motion carried unanimously. The minutes state the solicitor will prepare the agreement.
