Hartford approves annual liquor, tobacco and weights-and-measures licenses for 2026–27

The Common Council approved Class A, B and C fermented malt beverage and intoxicating liquor licenses and cigarette/tobacco and weights-and-measures licenses for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027, noting a few nonrenewals and a new application from Tochi Hartford, LLC.
City Clerk Shanna Kreilkamp presented the annual renewals of Class A, B and C fermented malt beverage and intoxicating liquor licenses and of cigarette, tobacco and weights-and-measures licenses for the licensing period beginning July 1, 2026. She said there was one conditional renewal for Whiskey Wednesdays; Mavericks will not renew its Class B license and an owner of the building has applied for a Class B license to be considered by the Finance and Personnel Committee in July. A new Class B beer and Class C wine application was noted for Tochi Hartford, LLC.
"There was one conditional renewal for Whiskey Wednesdays. Mavericks will not be renewing their Class B license and the owner of the building has applied for a Class B license that will come before the Finance and Personnel Committee at the July meeting," City Clerk Shanna Kreilkamp said. The council approved the liquor and tobacco license renewals by unanimous vote.
The council also approved cigarette, tobacco and weights-and-measures licenses and noted Swing Anytime will not be renewing. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
